WHAT WILL THE MEALS BE LIKE DURING THE JUSTICE SCHOOL?

  • Breakfast: Breakfasts will be self-prep/serve. The following are examples of our breakfast options:
    • Food: Toast, Eggs, Yogurt, Croissants, Veggies, Fruit, Cheese
    • Condiments: Butter, Strawberry Jam, Syrup
    • Drinks: Filtered Water, Coffee & Tea

Note: If you prefer other breakfast items, you will provide that on your own and will not be reimbursed.

  • Lunches: Most lunches will be self-prep/serve. The following are examples of our lunch options:
    • Food: Sandwiches, Soups, Veggies, Fruit, Cheese
    • Condiments: Peanut Butter, Strawberry Jam, Mayonnaise, Mustard, etc.
    • Drinks: Filtered Water, Coffee & Tea

Note: If you prefer other lunch items, Thai street food, etc., you will provide that on your own and will not be reimbursed. Some pre-arranged group lunches will be provided.

  • Dinners: There will be a variety of dinner experiences including dinners at the Thrive Rescue homes, at local Thai restaurants, and home-cooked Thai meals.
  • Meals Out: If on a Thrive Justice School outing, a one-portion meal will be provided. If you would like extra or specialty drinks/items, they will be at your own expense.
  • Special Considerations: If you have any dietary special needs, our staff will do our best to accommodate alternatives for you. Although, we ask that you bring protein bars or have a back-up plan in the case we are in an area that special considerations cannot be made.

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF I GET SICK?

If you get sick, we ask that you notify a staff-member immediately. It is important that you do not suffer dehydration and that we are able to monitor your symptoms until you have made a full recovery.

If you or our staff feel that you need medical attention, you will be taken to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital Clinic. If you need hospital level attention, you will be taken to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. Both are the best medical options available in our city.

It is important for you to discuss options with your health insurance provider for potential coverage during international travel.

 

IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

Yes. As students of Thrive Justice School, you will be required to wear appropriate clothing according to the activity.

Clothing Guidelines for School:

  • Nice Shirts/T-Shirts
  • Tank tops (3 finger width straps)
  • Capris
  • Shorts (length must be to tips of fingers)
  • Skirts/Dresses (length must be to tips of fingers)

Clothing Guidelines for Ministry Settings:

  • Blouses
  • Collared shirts
  • Capris
  • Shorts (length must be to knees)
  • Skirts/Dresses (length must be to knees)

Additional Clothing Recommendations:

  • Jeans are allowed but not recommended due to the extreme heat and humidity of the area.
  • Shoes with good arch support are highly recommended due to the amount of walking you will do.

 

Will I need vaccinations?

No, vaccinations are not required. We always recommend consulting with your doctor about your individual health needs.

 

Where will I stay during Thrive Justice School?

You will stay in a traditional, home-style environment. Each student will have at least one roommate. Exact accommodations will be shared closer to the summer sessions.

A sample schedule:

7:00 AM - Personal Devotion Time & Breakfast
9:00 AM - Class
12:00 PM - Lunch
1:00 PM - Special Training, Ministry Outreach or Guest Speaker
5:00 PM - Team Time
6:00 PM - Dinner
7:00 PM - Free Time, School Projects, or Ministry Outreach
10:00 PM - Curfew
12:00 PM - Lights out
